You got me to tear up twice, once when Tony said Ziva's neck looked lonely and a second time in the very last paragraph. That, to me, is the truest sign of good writing: the ability to make the reader cry. The reader should feel the sadness if there is sadness, and you did a marvelous job with this story. Thank you for sharing. |

| tigerlily25 chapter 1 . 7/27/2009 I'm wondering how I only just found this now, almost two months after it was written. Damn, that was a fine piece of writing. So very realistic and matter-of-fact, and yet still sweet and hopeful. I really appreciated the cyclical nature of it - beginning and ending with the issue of trust, and Tony's comment about her rescue, giving her the star... all the little things. There's just so much I like about this story. ;) I wish I could trust the NCIS writers to fix what they broke. They got some 'splainin' to do in September. In the meantime, I'll (hopefully) keep finding wonderful stories like this. Thanks for sharing. |
