I'm gonna be honest here... I cried. This story made immense tugs at my heart strings. If their was ever a story that made me feel so much emotion... I haven't found it.

Touching, and I liked how you handled the intimate family and friend relationships within the big picture context of the deathknights and Light's Hope Chapel events. I also enjoyed the bit referencing Thass and Koltira.

this is so awesome, it should be official. I hope Maraj and Orene join the Knights of the Eben Blade so they can stay friends.

Oh wow. I love a good short and this one doesn't disappoint. It's the moments like these that give the lore a more organic feel. Between this stuff and the novels (although I find parts of those a bit dry) this game has really come to life for me since I started playing. Thanks for sharing your story.

AWE-SOME. do you have more with these characters? If not you so should think about adding to the series because it is so heartfelt and touching. T_T dwarf and troll isn't one i have seen before but i like how you worked it, it flowed well and made a lot of sense. "brothers in death" after all. who cares about factions when you're all ice cold corpses anyway? wonderful job again :)

Loved it. I loved the sense of detachment and patchwork focus implied when the story is told from Rajah's point of view, and your characterization of Orene and Rajah is sharp, despite the lack of dialogue or explicit interaction between the two.

I could easily go on, but it'd just be me rambling about the various parts of the story I liked. The only criticism I can think to give is that, at points, the story got so cryptic as to be difficult to follow. But in a way, I think that heightened the atmosphere you were trying to build.

This really was a wonderful read. I'll have to get my hands on these songs to really get a feel for what you were aiming for.

A shame though, that if you follow canon DK lore, all the races return to their original faction. Orene and Maraj would be invariably separated if you continued this, which honestly makes me sad. Gratz for creating a cast and a story that can suck one in so easily and so WELL.

I'm blubbering right now, so yeah, you did a good job.

The characterisation was sharp in these last chapters, and the story's "denoument" was well paced. There's certainly no need for you to worry Kibou-Greenbird, because your actual writing was also great, clear and above average in getting accross what you want us to know.

This is a wonderful take on Death Knights of a kind I haven't come across before. I can only expect the story to improve with every chapter.

So the 10 0 days in the fire encompasses all his life? Now that's a sad thought -but then, Maraj is a kind of tragic figure, hm?

This may hae been my favourite chapter; it was very potent in terms of plot content.

Short and concentrated, hm? You can see the cracks in the Lich King's control and it makes for a great promise to us readers, even if we know what to expect.

Whoah...I'm not too keen on DK's but I really like this. And there's a femdwarf DK, which is pure gold to me :D

Ah I love this so far, I can't wait to read more!
