Good start. Drunk and near-pirates they may be, but I suspect salvage experience would be a very useful thing to have after the fall of civilization. I'm writing a story about a bunch of salvage experts myself, although my characters are a bit more more polite - i.e., active military.

I do find it odd that there would be a Six on board such an old ship. Surely there would be limits to how deep the Cylon infiltration would go. Of course, having one agent keeping tabs on the salvage world makes sense if you want to make sure your enemy doesn't have any ships whatsoever available to it, but still...

I like the description of the landing bays and other associated little touches that show the progression of Colonial technology.
