This is beautiful. I love reading Kyoko/Ren fanfics, wanting them to happen, but it was so much more poignant from this perspective. I'm definitely crying...being a latecomer to this series, I'm sure I'm too late on this guess... but is Tina the new Tennant? I would kinda like to see this version of Sho, moving on, with her.. skip beat is very much about broken people, healing, and growing, after all.

This is the second time I read this, can't remember the first time. All I've got to say is... Wow! It broke my heart. Nope not a fan of Sho x Kyoko (and never will be) but, I certainly felt so bad for him, I liked how you used his perspective, fleshing out his persona. I loved "charm". If Sho's realization in the manga comes (if it happens), I certainly will be reminded of this story.

This was so incredibly beautiful and worthwhile to read. It's certainly rare to read things from Shou's point of view, and so well-written too. Thank you for your story!

This fic is Beautiful... seriously.
Not because Shou didn't end up with Kyoko.
Well, i'm glad he didn't.

But why i think this fic is Beautiful, the way this story goes and end.

This is actually the kind of fic that i always search to read or/and wanting to write. As Original fic or Fandom fic.
And to think Shou is actually the suitable character for story like this, and Renxkyoko the couple he can't break no matter what (in healthy way). Not many people can write fic like this where people end up want to hug Shou and reassure him and hoping someday he would find his one that isn't Kyoko or her replacement.
I hate Shou in the canon. Lessening to Dislike because Shou does grow. Very slow, but as reader makes me curious how much he would grow and become mature.
This fic really makes me want to hug him.

Not many people can make fic like this without bashing someone like Shou, or even Ren or Kyoko, just so they could make their favourite character look good.

Free-bashing, Trying Hard Character, Unrequited Love, Apologize/Forgiving, with Beautiful ending fic like this is rare.

Oh, and I'm also amazed that despite the story being Sho-centric, you've never let the readers miss what's going on outside by keeping tab on Ren-Kyoko relationship by bits, (As a Ren-Kyoko fan, I'm glad I still have a good dose of fluffy scenes when the story is not really about them), also through Shoko and Aki, Kurosaki, Sho's mother and all other characters who have become even more interesting and lively through your capture. Thank you again..!
P.s. It's also a good thing I read Charm first because being a selfish shipper, I wouldn't have given this story a try without the assurance that it's not Sho-Kyoko fic.

What can I say... this is such a beautiful story. This isn't reallly the canon Sho and what he would gain at this point is sibling love at best but this story still rocks. My heart almost burst at the final song 'Goodby I'll manage somehow too, Goodbye that's what I'll do' and it deprived me of sleep, forcing me to re-read other lighter Skip Beat fics to calm myself down. Thank you so much for the story. Like all other reviews have previously stated this truly is an amazing story.

Amazing story! Absolutely a joy to read :) In he end I truly felt for Shou, despite his asshole ways earlier on. I loved that you added in snippets of Kyoko and Kuon too.

I know Shou's an ass, but this story is really making me feel bad for him. He really has no chance winning her love back and yet he still tries so hard... It almost makes me root for him :) Anyway, great story. I loved Charm and I love this one as well. It really fascinated me to see what goes on in Shou's head. I agree with you on the fact that his character has plenty of room for improvement but that's what makes him interesting. I'm looking forward to reading more :)

I like it, the way it ended, it was good. I specially like that he said 'that he had thought fairy tales always have happy endings, but then he guessed he was wrong or maybe it just wasn't his story to begin with. It was very deep.

That's sad, in the end they're both broken hearten, but there was never other option, was there, they were not supposed to be together.

Wow, I could have sworn Kyoko would marry a virgin. I don't know how I few about their, her, first time, it felt like it was out of anxiety, not love. Sho should just give up, it might be insensible of me, however I believe that him loving her, he should leave it be, if he wants to make her smile so much he should try to be her friend and swallow his romantic love.

Sho never learns does he. He's just to pathetic really.

Nice, is Kuon going to be telling Japan Ren's secret identity any time soon?
