I grew up in California, lived there for most of my life, and until this show came on the air had never heard of the CBI. It's the real deal though. Funny little list. I like the last one the best, although Chocolate Boxes Inc. is pretty funny too.

On a side note, I think I read Bruno Heller, creator of the series, that the CBI used to be real, an agency in California to investigate high profile cases, but it disappear a while ago, though he borrow it for the show.
