I really like the way their underlying personalities, the ones we saw so clearly in Weiss, shine through well here. Schuschu is unpredictable, and Crawford knows exactly what he's doing, and this is a situation that could only happen to the two of them. I thought the idea of Crawford just wanting to get himself a loyal telepath by whatever means necessary but suddenly finding, hey, he kind of likes it-is very Crawfordlike.

And, I love the literate telepath.

Lovely! There are too few good Brad/Schuldig stories out there, is is one of them! The characters are different enough from WK to make their youth credible, but at the same time it's clear what they will be later.

I like it that Brad's intended manipulation stops being important the moment they touch, that he's just as lost in this as Schuldig.
