cjjs chapter 10 . 7/17/2011 I'm not sure if you can hear that sound all the way in the States, but that was me exploding with happiness. This was awesome! Needless to say, the bit was Jesse was my favourite. Thanks you so much for adding him. I think you got his character right on. He's a decent person with moral convictions, but he's not exactly the brightest, and he speaks, acts, and thinks in plain English. I get that by how you've written him. And yes I could see him comparing women to cars. I'm sure he compares everything to cars. And I can totally see him being friends with Liv. They're about the same age, so they might have even gone to high school together, or grown up as neighbours. Second favourite part was the crows. They freak me out, and you do great job building up their menace. And you are spot on about how Jody losing her child could break up their relationship. That sort of thing happens in real life all the time. It happened to my family. Grief is a fumy thing, and it can either draw people together, or split them apart. Jody obviously needed comfort. She didn't find it in Liv, and so she found it with Doctor McDouche. I'm normally not sympathetic to people who cheat, but I do feel sorry for her all the same. Good work. |
cjjs chapter 9 . 5/18/2011 Awesome Awesome AWESOME chapter. I really liked Liv's flashback, and his struggles with the generator. His chit-chat with Dave Ford sounded natural, but the best was his reaction to Rebel (and your description of the dog) "Did Mick actually save him from the red-skinned creature did he get torn to shreds so fast, he didn't even notice his last breath?" Great line! And points for the speedy update, too. |
CJJS chapter 8 . 5/13/2011 I would leave a signed review, but it said i already reviewed chapter 8. Did you delete a chapter or something? Anyway. it's always nice to see an update from you. This story is so deliciously gory. I'm normall ynot a huge splatter-fest fan, but this one had me pleasantly entertained. It definitely has that over the top feel that so many zombie flicks have, and I love it. Now, I actually feel a little bad for the doctor. Losing his wife and son. I know he's twisted and evil, but trauma can make a person do some crazy things. I think that's what's so damn disturbing about zombies. That they're just the empty shells of loved ones. Actually they're not empty shells at all are they, they're murderous monsters, but some people only see what they once were. I get that. Liv's flashback at the beginning was nice. I really hope Jody didn't cheat on him, though, and Liv was just being paranoid. I like Jody, and I think I'd like her a lot less if she was the type to cheat. But don't let me inflence your decisions. this fic is your baby. And for some reason, the bite mark on the cast was a really neat image. I liked that. Now, don't take so long to update...lol. |
cjjs chapter 8 . 10/21/2010 Yesh! The maternity ward? You sick puppy, lol. No Im just teasing, you offer a really visceral, vivid look into the carnage that would have been a Raccoon City hospital, and your scenes have a trace of Silent Hill/Dead Space in them (which is awesome) I think I can safetly say that you grossed me out, and agree that it was time to bump this story up to "M" rated. But your writing is really coming along. The chapter had a good flow to it, and Jody and James' fight made me grin. But my favourite, by far was Mick's last scene. You really got into his head, felt his pain, his fear. And that is not something everyone can do. So good job, you. Keep the updates coming! And curse you for the cliffhanger! |
cjjs chapter 7 . 10/14/2010 Holy Carp, run Liv and Jody. It's THE BLOB! You're back! GLEE! And in what a form, I love this fic so much. The interaction between Jody and Liv is great, your descriptions are gruesome, and ghoulish, but scary and fun (if that's possible) And the diary was super awesome! (remind me to tell you about the time me and better half took a tour of an old insane asylum and ended up "borrowing" a pych nurse's diary from the 60s) And I like that you're making up your own BOWs. "the slime" scares me (mainly because "the blob" scared me, and the thing from Stephen King's "the raft" scared me. Basically, being digested alive scares me. But honourable mention goes to the poor nurse who was run down and killed. How horrible, for her, and for Liv. Don't doubt if that will scar him forever. It would be very traumatic for a person who was sworn to protect, to be helpless to protect, and watch their gruesome death. And I like how you touched on Jody's dismay at seeing former patients dead. Another heart wrenching perspective, the healer unable to heal. Can't wait to see what happens next. Now don't take so long between updates, you. |
cjjs chapter 5 . 12/28/2009 Hey, it took you a while to update, but it was so worth it! Great chapter, I can understand Liv's agression toward James, and the interaction between Liv and James was really well written. You can really sense the animosity between them. Crimson heads...man I freaking hate crimson heads, Liv had quite the close call there. Its a good thing that Jake was there to lend a hand (or fist) I really enjoyed the first aid sequence and the way that you described Mick's infection. Poor Mick...and that is why, you don't punch a zombie, kids! Fantastic work, dramatic, scary, and kind of gross in parts. Exactly what an REfic should be. |
Chaos0283 chapter 1 . 9/25/2009 Great detail on the surroundings and what Liv was going through. I have to say, I'd probably go insane with an annoying voice like that in my head. Keep up the work! |
Prisonerksc2-303 chapter 4 . 9/22/2009 Nice to see an update finally XD! A very intense and gripping chapter! Now Liv knows whats going on and knows where to shoot them. The morgue scene was just horrifying! All the blood, so much blood at that, and all the chomping on eachother. Poor Jake too. Oh no, hopefully Liv and gang will be okay. Loved it! Sorry it took me forever to read and review :). Keep up the wonderful work! |
cjjs chapter 4 . 9/18/2009 Amazing chapter! I really liked Mick and Jake, it's a shame Jake had to die so...unpleasantly. Great job tapping into the unescapable creepiness of elevators, and elevator music has to be about the most ironic choice to sountrack a zombie invasion. Brilliant. So Liv has a SIGP226 in a shoulder holster. Is that police issue or is he plainclothes with his personal weapon? BTW... Jody does sound cute. I can't wait for the next chapter. |
Prisonerksc2-303 chapter 3 . 6/29/2009 What? No! Curse the cliffys! Good place to stop XD. I see, so Jody cheated on Liv? That sucks. But probably not as much as whats about to happen in Racoon City. I wonder what she wants with Liv. Oh I love that Liv looked up to Wesker as a role model. I also like how you mentioned what happened with the chief and the remaining S.T.A.R.S. members. What a jerk that chief is! The way you described the poor woman who was attacked was horrifying! What a horrible death. You're doing such a awesome job, keep it up! Loved it! Looking forward to more. Can't wait! Oh and happy birthday ). |
Prisonerksc2-303 chapter 2 . 6/29/2009 Yeah it would be a good idea to leave Rebel home. Or would it? I mean with all these zombies getting spotted, is anywhere safe. And so it begins. I'm wondering what happened to Jody. A good slap to the head would've woke him up. I mean thats what I would've done XD. But she has ALOT of patience. Oh and I forgot to mention this from the last chapter but...I will never look at strawberry short cake the same way. Ever. LOL. Anyway this is awesome so far. Well written too ). Next chapter! |
Prisonerksc2-303 chapter 1 . 6/29/2009 Wow! I can imagine the way the zombie pulled himself along while Liv just sat there making up his mind on if he should or shouldn't kill it. That was intense! Hopefully he chose to use that pipe. And I was thinking the same thing he was, why didn't the zombie eat away at the first sign of flesh? Maybe it wants his brain XD. Really good start! Wonderful job! I'm off to read the rest ). |
cjjs chapter 3 . 6/29/2009 Liv Tremmain hates Johnny Cash? (gasps)I'm not sure if I can read this story anymore, I can't identify with the protagonist. (JK) Another great chapter, I really like the grudging camaraderie between Liv and Dave Ford. I'm still trying to get used to Dave being a good guy. I much prefer your Dave Ford to my Dave Ford, lol. Keep up the great work! |
cjjs chapter 2 . 6/2/2009 Hey, you made Dave Ford a good guy...neat! |
cjjs chapter 1 . 5/13/2009 Good stuff, keep 'er coming. Go water pipe! lol. |
