Reviews for Sulking and Spare Tires
Andy chapter 1 . 9/14/2014
Nice fic, I think you were able to really capture Summer as a person, and her development into a mature woman. And I totally agree with your dislike of Summer/Dillon. Sorry, Ziggy/Dillon all the way for me! I mean, the creators nearly made it canon, I swear.

great story. i can't say i love summer but i do like her at some points in the show.

spare tires are so tiny because they're locked up in the trunk their whole lives!
QueenRiley chapter 1 . 8/25/2009
I really really like your Summer! She makes sense. It's not that I don't like the Summer on the show, I do, I just don't totally buy her back story is all. But your Summer? She knows she's being petty and she accepts that about herself. I think that's awesome. Your Summer is growing up and that's one of my favourite things to read in a story, that arc of painful emotional stumbles.

I'm also totally in love with Flynn and Scott being subconsciously absorbed in each other.
PinkRangerV chapter 1 . 5/3/2009
Actually, this shows a lot of how Summer's brave enough to try to grow up when it's really hard to do so. Good work!

I've said it like, a thousand times already (okay, like, twice, whatever), but only for you, babe.

I hate Summer with the burning of a thousand suns, I hated her since I first saw the RPM promo and she did that stupid rich girl hair flip bullshit move when she hopped off the motorcycle. And my hatred for her hasn't lessened since. (Like you, am I really supposed to believe everybody suddenly dropping the rouse they LIKE HER AND SHOWING THAT THEY DON'T AND OH NOES HER ONLY FRIEND HER BELOVED BUTLER DIES WHAT NOW is supposed to change her from a spoiled rich bitch into an awesome, kind, sweet chick who's into motorcycles and martial arts? HAH NO. I still hate her)

Now, to the actual story. You actually made me sort of like her. I'm never sure how you do that. You take charries I hate (the Terrible Trio, for instance), and make me semi-like them. It's a gift, RooRoo, run with it, it will serve you well in the future. I like that you made her angry about the fact that, once again, she feels like people are leaving her, and this time, people that are ACTUALLY her friends, her best friends, no pretending to like her because she's rich. Scott and Flynn have each other, so why would they need her?

But then she realizes, it's GOOD they have each other. In a post-apocalyptic world, you need all the happiness you can get, and they found it with each other. Summer's realizing she's not getting left behind again, she doesn't have to be a third wheel if she doesn't want to be, they're not going to randomly stop hanging with her just because they're a couple. I adore the fact that she realized that, and didn't make a huge, giant fuss as old!Summer would have.

I still hate Summer, but you made me see that she's not possibly as bad as she used to be. But she still has a lot of growing up to do.

I love you.
