lostinfantasy1493 chapter 1 . 8/7/2012 Oh my God. APC is my favorite band! And um, this story was probably one of the strangest stories I've ever read on this website. But that's kinda like a compliment? because I like weird, non-conformational things. It was a crazy jumble in my head though, you know what with all three songs playing at the same time. You should do one of Stink Fist! ;) haha. But I liked how chapter 2 kinda serves as the prequel to chapter 1. Although I think it's safe to say that Lila, for me, will never be the same again. Good job though, overall. |
Zephyr.Camida chapter 1 . 4/25/2012 "Disconnect and self-destruct one bullet at a time." I do dearly love me some 'A Perfect Circle' and I was pleasantly surprised to see how well this turned out. It was so trippy but it was so unique, I couldn't help but be transfixed. I would have so loved to see something incorporated with their song Vanishing - it being one of my top favorites - but I digress. Very nice chapter, I obviously enjoyed the different style a lot! |
anlmoon chapter 2 . 12/12/2010 intresting |
Pyrex Shards chapter 2 . 5/9/2009 I like what you're doing here. You've inserted chapter 2 in a timeline before chapter 1. They're two different dreams by two different people, but each is a continuation of the other. I have to wonder who ultimately started this entire dream sequence. :) I guess we'll find out in the last chapter, and it'll be a big surprise. The usage of lyrics are intriguing. I have to wonder if I should be paying more attention to the tone of the lyrics or what the words mean. I'm probably going to read this again, which I don't mind doing. There's a lot to dissect here, this is very complex. I think Lila's your main character, I could be wrong though. |
CarlinJ83 chapter 1 . 5/4/2009 wow that was tense but interesting. |
Houkanno Yuuhou chapter 1 . 5/3/2009 I thought it was a pretty interesting experiment. It almost seemed like one of those dreams you have when you've fallen asleep with the radio on, and the music invades. I wouldn't mind seeing where this goes. |
Pyrex Shards chapter 1 . 5/2/2009 I've read a lot of dream sequences in fanfics and they're almost always lucid dreams. Problem with those is, how many people really have lucid dreams anyway? Personally? I don't think I've had one in the past decade. Lucid dream sequences tend to be just a tad unrealistic, sometimes. It really depends on the author. Your dream sequence on the other hand doesn't seem to have any lucidity in it. At least Arnold doesn't read as lucid. Interesting how Helga seems pretty lucid about the whole thing, and she's not the one dreaming! Or is she? :) Kudos on the Deja vu thing. Having Arnold quickly forget what the dream was about, yet have a deja vu moment is just awesome. In fact this may be the only time I've ever read a fanfic that uses deja vu as a plot device, and to full effect. Good work! |
Thundercatroar chapter 1 . 5/1/2009 Not that my opinion matters but this blew me away! :) What wonderful descriptions of the decadence of human vice and the toll it takes on the mind! I really enjoyed and respect your use of religious imagery as well, not only was it breathtakingly gutsy, but so correct. I can't even say how wonderful it felt to be disturbed by this, and I do earnestly mean that in the best possible way. Every time I read your stuff it's like mental bungee jumping, I wonder what you're going to do next. You're like my Helga in that you take my hand and assure me that it's not going to be so bad once we take the leap. Incensequential, but I have a feeling that you're an old soul too. I love the historical settings, and costumes you place our beloved characters in. Anyhoo...bravo, My Dear! Please feel free to test your wings once again! Audra/'Roar |
