I'm a junior in college and I just wanted to tell you that I've read this fic since I was in the eighth grade. I shipped Zuko and Mai so hard and you brightened my little thirteen year old year and as a twenty one year old, I'm grateful for the nostalgia and happy you wrote this so long ago. I hope the last eight years have been good to you and that you keep doing what you're doing.

Oh my God. I never read fanfictions this long. It's usually 3 chapters long the ones I read as to not get tired of the plot, I tend to focus on actual books. But this, it was great really, I have no words. I must say what captivated me most was perhaps the fact that I see myself reflected in Mai, my childhood only to start with. I love her progression as a character, again quite reminding me of how I got to have friends today and quite the coincidence that I'm a tutor as to find something to do like she's a teacher,heh. Well, this was one, if not the best fanfiction I've ever read, I got teary eyed a couple times and might've shed a tear or two. You are amazing, thank you again, so much for this masterpiece
