![]() ![]() Damn this is good stuff right here |
![]() ![]() ![]() the feels... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Fantastic story. There is obviously some background conflict already going on during Roku's training. I wasn't sure who the watertribe was fighting against though considering the lack of hostility with the Avatar, I assumed it wasn't with the Fire Nation. Then we had Roku admonishing his earth bending teacher to not do anything stupid while the Sud worries about Roku coming to look for him. In the end Roku decides to join the war as Fire Lord in order to end war. A war that the fire nation may have already started? Hard to say if I'm reading this write. Either way, Firelord Roku will probably prevail. Could even Ba Sing Se keep him out? |
![]() ![]() ![]() ...I love this. Is it bad I want to make a full story out of this? |
![]() ![]() ![]() this could make a great prologue to a amazing story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Truly impressive work here. Love the feel of it. Love the heart of it. Love the final line (in my mind, the last three words were shouted). Short and bittersweet, logical, and, well, damn impressive. So yeah. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Is it wrong that I like this story? I always felt Avatar's tend to get the raw end of the deal, putting up with the problems of two worlds and being forced to abandon their family/home/culture and sense of self all for the "greater good", I've always longed to see an Avatar give those expectations the finger. Beyond that I believe the four nations should be one, separation isn't just an illusion, it's a dangerous one; one that breeds racism, contempt, and countless other horrible things that practically guarantee conflict. Beyond that think of all that can be accomplished if they work together; airbenders for transportation, for weather-reading, for messengers, and beyond that to be the spiritual heart of any given nation, firebenders for industry, for artisans, for technology, and for unflinching warriors and guardians, earthbenders for architects, for building and defending great cities, for metalworking, and for agriculture, waterbenders for irrigation systems, for plumbing, for clean water, for travel through water. All four nations working together would create truly amazing metropolitan city-states, but sadly that will never happen. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Interesting twist. It's somehow happier ending, for Roku and Sozin of course. I only wonder, what about future Avatars. Would they be bring to Fire Nation and train there? |
![]() ![]() ![]() really interesting. |

![]() ![]() ![]() "My name is Firelord Roku and there will be no more war." Firelord, Avatar and a comet approaching... Hell, yes, that should put enough shock and awe into everyone to assure a bloodless victory. |
![]() ![]() ![]() this is so different from what really happened but i still found it enjoyable and fun to read! |
