Small complaint on a great story, I really don't want to be that reader, sorry. Earlier in your composition you state that Christine was practicing swimming strokes in the secret spring of Erik's lair. Christine then reflects on the fact that she had learned how to swim while living by the seashore and it would make sense that she couldn't swim in the rough ocean waters to save her scarf but was a mediocre swimmer in shallow and calm waters. Last chapter she then tells Erik before the descend down the hidden chute that she cannot swim which directly contradicts the earlier account of her abilities. Again, sorry to be that reader, but overthinking it was distracting me from the story and I need to write it out to regain focus.

This story is right up there with your story 'Come to Me.
The story that was written before this one, I have to say that honestly; this second one completely out shines it.

Oh, I know this is waaaaaaaaaay past the chapter, but I did some research of what a hot todi is. In my research of them, I didn't see anything about them that made them good for sickness; but, brandy was sometimes used in times of sickness so...

Yes, a very sad way to end the chapter, and it's very sad that this story is coming to an end. But, all things must come to/ have an ending at some point.
The good part of this is, that I hope to read all the rest of your stories; at least the ones that are finished.

I was hoping that Erik would read his mother's diaries. I think that she loved him. Had his mother been given a chance, I think she could have been a good mother to Erik.
I loved how Erik and Christine's cooking lesson became a make-out session, but this time, nothing got burnt.
