Loved it

Hello Aithomenos, I came to this story by a circuitous route, and got sucked into your tale. I enjoyed it, but I would not call it fluffy. Fluffy to me means chuckles, lighthearted-this was not that by a long shot. It was serious and even dark in many places. Cloud not being able to accept responsibility-how could he think it would be OK to be gone 5 months and not even a phone call? It ends happily enough, but I was startled to read that you'd thought you were going to write a "rip your heart out torture" story. I'm the characters and the story took you another way! Anyway, it was a good read, even though it was different than what you thought it would be. Sometimes the characters just don't like to be pushed around and they do what they can- thx mc

you have done really well with this story, and i really loved it. an epilogue would be really nice, but only if you want to.

and DONT STRESS! your english is amazing, i would have never guessed that it wasnt your first language. (well it wasnt mine either but ANYWAY)

you wrote the charcaters amazingly, especially Cloud and Tifa, of course, and your a great writer. im subscribing to your stories :)

I found the story well-written. Simple, but has all the essentials needed for a good story. It touches on all the characters' perspective (love Yuffie!) and portrays the characters spot-on. It is seldom that we find the perfect Cloud, as he is quite the passive, nearly unreadable character. And Tifa. Strong and vulnerable at the same time. Good job showing those traits.

A great story, overall! :)

ps: extra props for writing a fighting scene since that's always hard to do!

I'm not really reviewing chapter 4 here...I'm trying to respond to your chapter 7 author note thingie but couldn't because I had already reviewed chapter 7.

Anyway, I liked how the story took over and allowed Tifa and Cloud to work through all those years of not connecting completely (or at all). To have them get to such a point and then to take it back to

something dark and broken would have been too sad...so I think it is good that you were flexible and allowed the story and characters to lead you to the this ending.

I want to tell anyone who is reading this, that I've had fun discussing my thoughts and feelings about both of her stories with aithomenos. She really is fun to talk to about the stories and really is open to inspiration from us. I know it must be hard to think you might be writing to a blank wall...hopefully the story viewed counter can help motivate a writer even when there aren't a lot of reviews. CLoud is soo cute in this chapter. And yes, your Cloud is very much different than other author's version of Cloud (you just prove it in this chapter).Although i always love angstemo Cloud much more, but somehow you change my perception. Cloud deserves happiness..yeah

Although...you did mention in the summary about their love is kinda dark and obsessive. I assume their happiness will not last long?

Better than the fact that Cloud IS trying is that he really WANTS to try. And getting to this point can make how long it took to get there, worth it.

Aw, yeah, it's about time Cloud. He's going to start living now...I really really like this Tifa and that Cloud is putting his feelings out there and trying for her and for him.

Cloud and Tifa really are very dysfunctional. Not only could he have called her several times a week, he could have easily gone home and visited her a few times a month. But instead he goes out of town for "a few weeks", stays gone five months, never calling at all.

He lets Cid beat him up, while Tifa fights off two huge thugs with no trouble at all. And Tifa will put up with anything (or nothing) from Cloud no matter how he treats her (or neglects her).

seriously now, you deserve WAY more reviews than my shitty, badly thought out ones, because this is enfolding wonderfully :)

can't wait for the next few chaps!
