I read this story probably a year ago and loved it then. Perhaps I should have reviewed at that time to encourage you to return to it. Like you, I loved the film and have longed for more of the story. I think the thing that discourages it has to be the research it would take to understand the intricacies or both legal and illegal systems - and setting a story in China? I wouldn't even try it! It would overwhelm me.

However, at one point in your author's notes you said that you had this story planned for 8 chapters, with a very tight plot. That would mean that you have only 3 chapters left to go. Now, I really am selfish...but it would be a shame to come so close and abandon the story before it was complete. You're over halfway there - and Meg still hasn't received what she (and we fans!) have been waiting for all this time: a little sweetness from John.

Please, come back to it. :)

OH MY GOD. This is by far the best fanfiction I've ever read about any topic, EVER. You nailed the characters. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, finish it. I cannot wait to find out what happens to the characters of one of my favorite movies of all time.

Another good chapter. Really enjoyed Meg's in and out monologue. Stupid sister though. She should have known better. Can't wait for more.

Somehow I don't think John is going to be thrilled about Meg taking that risk and getting shot.

So glad to see John! God, I love that man. This chapter was very sweet and sensual with them, but with that bite that makes them have such excellent chemistry.

One quick thing, though - was re-reading, and noticed a typo:

"Surely he wouldn't have staid in China for good?"

You mean stayed.

Yeah! Another chapter. Really enjoyed this chapter. It is just like Meg to be hard headed about her safety when John is in trouble.
