This is endlessly fascinating! The idea that Chris had been able to warn Sam what would happen if he jumped, and that he would only have six years to live, puts a whole new slant on his decision to return to 1973, and I'm even more gobsmacked by the idea of Chris and Shaz seeing Alex before she goes back to the 1980s, knowing that they will meet her then while she is a starnger to them in the present. I'm also taken with the theory as to why Sam's body was never found. And that last sentence is wonderful.

Aw, Chris! Great story and nicely written! I like that Sam came to find him in 2006. It just seems like the thing to do! Find out if any of the people from 1973 are still here in 2006 to prove whether or not it was all in his head. Lovely story!

Oh, well, I loved it. I was reading it thinking, 'go on chris talk to her.' I completely forgot that Alex wouldn't have a clue who they were. Really enjoyed this.

That was great! The last line was terrific. Really reminded me of Doctor Who, when he's temporarily stuck 'on the slow path'.

Quite a different idea that Sam goes back to '73 because he's been told that he does - and even knowing that it'll only last six years. Nice twist with Chris and Shaz seeing Alex too but not 'their' Alex - she would definitely think they were both mad...
