Two things I want to say, actually three things. First off- I’m really enjoying your story. Second - Mike doesn’t know what he has coming until he is stuck in that bathroom for hours! Lol And third- I have a question that has been bothering me for a while now. Is Nessie Eric’s child? The reason I ask is because you stated that he had radiation treatment before they were married. That would have destroyed his chances of having children. I also noticed that Nessie has some very familiar features... just saying, did Bella have a sperm donee?

I think there may have been a small mistake in the first chapter...
"Nessie looked more like me, which was good that I wasn't constantly reminded of him, but it made me sad that he was fading from my life more and more."
That line insinuates that Nessie could look like Eric which would make him her biological dad.
I do like the twist though.

this story kills me every time I read it because it's so well written... but it's basically the exact plot of Beauty Shop (2005) except Bella's a chef instead of a hairdresser. Literally down to the dead husband, daughter who plays music, hole in the ceiling where you can hear the music... all of it lol
