While I enjoyed this entire story, I think Chapter 2 is my favorite. Even though Maka's weapon transformation is anime-only for now, I'd still love to see more writers tackle the issue and its effects. It's definitely one of my favorite plots in this particular fandom. Thanks so much for writing about it.

Maybe making Black Star truly sick was going overboard for a prank, but I rather liked the closing lines-they remind me of Soul and his kishin souls. I liked Stein's use of the word "extraction," and the characterization of the girls. Soul's role doesn't seem all that big, here, though? Other than doing the grunt work of getting the gum out.

This chapter was just beautiful. The way you made Maka gradually come to terms with her feelings for Soul did not feel rushed at all. He thoughts, her doubts and her insecurities all made sense. Seeing something like that in the manga doesn't seem very far-off to me. And them finally - finally - accepting each others' feelings and her deciding to become something more than friends was so dorky yet so adorable. Leave it to Maka to break the ice with her nerdiness.

I am a fan of all of your oneshots but this one has to be my favourite. It was so good :)

As for a request: If you don't mind a loose continuation of this, I would pick the theme Insatiable with Maka growing more comfortable into her clearly romantic relationship with Soul and always craving to be near him, to touch him and maybe wanting to do more intimate things with him and her being Maka freaking out about all of her pervy thoughts.

Can you do a story where Maka gets gum in her hair thanks to Blackstar and soul has to help her get it out, I'm not sure if it fits yo ur themes, but I tried. And the story rocked by the way. Captured the duo wonderfully.

I'm still waiting for a sequel. This is one of my favorite short SoMa stories and one of the best ones to accurately portray their character without too much fluff. Please do develop this, either by converting it into its own story or by finishing the oneshot soon. Although the suspense is great, it'd break my heart to not read about them finally declaring their love. ;-;
