Yes! Someone finally knows how to do a Cave Story fanfic right! I was laughing for at least 3/4 of the text. The other part I was wondering why no one else was writing a fanfic this funny and good. CS is too lighthearted a game for so many of the fics I've seen around here. I loved the Curly/Quote dialogue, and your treatment of Balrog.

"I don't know. Why was the Bubbler behind a fireplace? People put things in weird places."

Your works here is an awesome example of how to carry the game world into writing. One change I'd make: the taglines on the end of your dialogue. There are better, more interesting, less redundant ways to identify who's speaking. Sometimes, it's not even necessary, as you demonstrated with Balrog's "Huzzah!" at the end. Try using descriptive details when you're tempted to say things like "he said" or "she asked." You'll like the difference if you take the time to try it.
