CuboPequeno chapter 1 . 6/17/2014 "Is it a T?" "It's a cross." Me: ... BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA. HOW THE FUCK...?! |
psuliem chapter 1 . 10/30/2012 WOW OKAY SO THAT WAS THE BEST THING EVER. THE EMOTION AND DETAIL PUT INTO THAT WAS THRILLING. |
Pennelope.Jones chapter 1 . 1/21/2012 Holy cow. This was. Oh, my goodness, I can't even. This was amazing. I haven't read fic this good in a long, long time. I am so satisfied right now. It was perfect! I could continue, but it will most likely come out illiterate and repetitive, so I'll spare you. Lots of Love, Penn. |
Zainab chapter 1 . 8/11/2010 The best Drake & Josh fanfic i've ever read! I usually don't do anything with priest when it comes to any form of entertainment, but this was just so frickin fantastic that it changed my mind! Thank you so much! :) |
Periwinklesgirl chapter 1 . 6/3/2010 Hey, I haven't seen much really AU stuff from this fandom so this is really interesting for that alone. Your characterisation of a Josh who grew up without Drake is very convincing and sucked me into the story straight away. I was really satisfied with the how everything ties up so sweetly at the end too. Anyway, I loved the whole thing to bits basically so thanks for sharing. :) |
Oasis Blackmore chapter 1 . 12/27/2009 It would've been a shame for me not to review this story, so even though it's nearing dawn at the moment, I am compelled to do so. Right now, some of my favorite concepts are religion, Drake/Josh, and fantastic writing. Congrats, you've done all three justice. I can't honestly say I've read too many AU DJ fics, but this one's summary just jumped out at me; and I couldn't resist. I loved the plot development, the constant, internal struggle, and of course, the well-written smut-I use the word in the least condemning sense. Because the plot was so thrilling, I felt that it could very easily have been removed from the FanFictional realm and placed into one of your own creation. Some parts though, like Josh's misunderstanding of Megan and Drake's relationship and the juxtapositioning of Josh and Craig (lovely twist, by the way), made me praise the fact that you decided to fit your awesome idea into this fandom. Obviously, you put a lot of time and effort into this story and its intricate details, and as a result, it's simply amazing. I can't wait to read more of your work and be similarly stunned. ~ Oasis |
Old-Soul-Rock-n-Roll chapter 1 . 12/14/2009 amazing story! |
Hey Missy chapter 1 . 10/19/2009 this was brilliant! i could go on and on rambling on about your writing skills but i'll resume it on one phrase: many kudos on your amazing work. much luv xoxo |
mirrohayou chapter 1 . 7/14/2009 This was beautiful and in character and kind of sad. I also really wish there was more :). Either way your awesome. |
AnnabeeLee chapter 1 . 4/28/2009 Wow. Just...wow. I love stories like this. I always get a kick out of religious tales. You're writing was fantastic and the dialogue was very good too. Awesome job. |
therubyone chapter 1 . 4/24/2009 Intriguing title! A masterful AU, yet I like how you tweaked it with elements of canon, such as Megan, Mystery Boy, the olives, and of course the two of them inevitably ending up together (with Josh as manager). How awful to be part of a religion that says it's wrong for you to exist! Josh's internal torments were poignantly conveyed. Their intense longing and subsequent release was also beautifully described. I'm glad their need was mutual; I tire of the stories where it's one-sided. And who else but Drake Parker would expect to score with a priest? I'm glad that Father Nichols chose to leave the collar behind and made himself whole, with a very touching and humble ending (his conversation with Craig). |
Dragonfly8716 chapter 1 . 4/22/2009 Wow. Oh, wow. This was just amazing. I really thought every possible story had already been done. I like the fact that the sameness of ritual comforts Josh. I like all the minor character names you dropped in. I love how you described Drake performing. I'm not sure I've ever seen it done in that much detail. Mystery boy's confession really seemed to get to the heart of the impossible position Josh is in. Josh's conscience leads him to enforce the morality of his church, but at the same time you create a strong impression that Josh believes doing so is equally a sin. Compassion and introspection and a powerful need to follow the spirit of the law-that's so Josh. I wanted this to go on and on. I wanted to see the three years in between. But the ending works. Josh asking mystery boy's forgiveness? Perfect. |
z chapter 1 . 4/22/2009 Holy shit. This was-amazing. Characterization, the twists, the reactions-all realistic and beautiful, and with the originality this story is just amazing. I don't really get the ending, though. I'm thinking this is a one-shot since it's so long (in a good way! I usually stay away from these but it captured me completely), but you didn't mention it was and didn't tag it as completed, so now I'm confused. Besides the weird ending I loved this. Incredible. |
OND chapter 1 . 4/22/2009 You know, I actually remember a picture of Drake like that I found on livejournal, though I'm pretty sure it was a fake. Anyways, the thing I like about this story is that it's hot and serious at the same time, it really shows character. I've never read a story where Josh was a priest, so I found that pretty awesome, also. D Amazing fic. ~Sunny |
