I really like how you showed the progression of Ianto coming to love Jack. This is really a bittersweet story. I enjoyed reading the way you wrote old Ianto and how he feels about his age. The ending was depressing, but understandable why Ianto did it. Love the Janto moments. You did a wonderful job on this story.

Oh. My god. You know what? I don't even have the WORDS to express how utterly lovely this piece is. It's just so - perfect. And intense. And what an amazing ending - that last word just made the whole thing a million times cooler, though it was already pretty awesome even without the 'BANG' theme. Though I suppose the 'BANG' theme was sort of the whole point. But still.

Excuse my ramblings, your amazing fic has reduced me to ingoherency. :D

Woah, that ending shocked me. Actually shocked me. I read the letter and thought, aw that's sad, but i can understand. but the bang, did he kill himself? i love how you've dealt with the passing of time. i've often wondered what would happen when ianto gets old and jack still looks the same. and tosh's death too, so sad, so pointless. but the bang. :O

This is very well written and I like the recurring theme of 'Bang'.
