Excellent work, this was quite refreshing.

How I loved this fic! This is how I want my MadaraXItachi stories, bitter, angsty and deep, with sex as a tool for control and power, not pleasure. You totally made it here. I loved all of Madara's musings, how he compared Itachi's love for Sasuke to SAsuke's childish love for Itachi, and how Madara was basically jealous of SAsuke. And I loved how you wrote the part where Madara blackmails Itachi to obtain more from him.

This is not the first story of yours I read and appreciate, you definitely are a favourite!

I admire people like you who can take Fanfiction to a whole new level. These deep, eye-opening words make me think and philosophy. I read quite a few Fanfictions that were similar to this in their own special way. This really makes you think. But it sure would be creepy as hell if Tobi were like this. While it's not that unlikely to happen I doubt Kishi would EVER draw something like this and I'm fudging glad, too. Your Itachi obsession has spilled a little over to me :3 While I don't understand how female teens swoon over him like there's no tomorrow, I do understand people like you that truly care about his personality like me. Sure, Kishi tends to exaggerate with non-sexual bonds such as Itachi and Sasuke but they still fascinate me oddly. Itachi was always a really special character despite being a side character. He always managed to leave an impression, be it his looks and skills or the depth of his personality. I like your writing style and I hope you find lots of crappy inspiration for further b***sh*t! XD

holy shit! if i'm not careful, you'll make me start hating Sasuke, who i actually adore (his pain draws me to him). you really don't like Sasuke, do you? :D but seriously, once again, this was brilliant. i loved (however much i cringed) how you showed the reasons why Madara hates Sasuke- they were valid. and now you're making me question why Itachi loved Sasuke so much in the first place. the only answer i can come up with is that they were brothers, and that that's a bond only brothers can understand :) that maybe some kinds of love need no reason or explanation. oooh you got my mind ticking. AMAZING, you are :)

I stumbled upon Taken and from there your profile, then here, but I concede that that may have been a mistake since I'm no Madara lover and much prefer ItaSasu, in that order. I received the impression that you are quite concerned with canonical characterization in fanfiction, so I was a bit surprised by this, Devil's Angel. I do however realize that this fic is from over two years ago, which is ample time for changes and, progress, perhaps, to take place. I'm not denying the merits this story has for other readers of other preferences, but I found Madara to be rather OOC. Not more so than in most of what I find these day; the surprise I attribute wholly to the different impression I'd gained from your profile.

My bone lies with Madara's completely out of the blue obsession with Itachi. I understand that there is little to not obsess about the man, but last time I checked, Madara's character exists independently from the ranks of shrieking fangirls. HE has little reason to value Itachi as more than an able, but difficult chesspiece. Certainly no more than what Sasuke might, with time, become an apt replacement for; Sasuke IS so much more malleable after all. Kishimoto's Madara should feel relief at the elimination of such a potent threat, twinged with pity that that power couldn't have been used to serve him - though that too, isn't quite true, seeing as Sasuke has obtained his eternal mangekyou.

I feel somewhat foolish for doing this at 4:42am, when sleep is obviously the more logical choice. I normally don't bother with complaints, or even reviews, unless it's on the off day that I actually find something worth the effort, but I guess I felt some semblance of affinity, some degree of identification, whether as a fellow lit. student or a fan who appreciates the merits of canonical characterization (I profess myself less strict than the suggestion in your profile). So, whatever god-forsaken reason it may have been, 4:53, lemme end on a more familiar note. Update Taken please! I'm on chapter 9 and see no reason so far to not want to see the end. And on that painful note, I shall depart on a journey to regain the coherency I lost hours ago.

I would love to hear it. The story itself was gorgeous... Madara's final reaction to the Gypsy lady's song was fitting...

That was some Sasuke bashing! I wouldn't know how you feel about Sasuke for real, but Madara's hate for him was really thought through. And well, personally I do not know quite if I hate or love Sasuke (or Madara for that matter), but it is somehow wonderful to see him spoken of so badly. xD

There was one like at the very beginning that I really liked, but I can't seem to find it again /: Still I must say, that the mood was great and the dark, heavy feeling of drunken anger and madness carried on all the way through!

I like the idea of Madara feeling so evil that he cannot (will not?) understand what love is and is completely oblivious of that love excactly is what he may feel for Itachi - not even in a especially twisted way.

And last but not least; this story was so linguistic satisfying that it would be rude not to fave it.
