A happy ending to a wonderful story!

One thing I forgot to mention in my review: I checked out the group "Celtic Woman" just to see what it was like. You put the idea into my head, and I figured they had to be good if they compared to Rose. I LOVE THE "CELTIC WOMAN" GROUP! THEY ARE AMAZING! THANKS SO MUCH FOR MENTIONING THEM AND FOR WRITING ALL OF YOUR AMAZING STORIES; THEY HAVE DONE WONDERS TO HELP ME WRITE MY OWN STORY. THANK YOU, YOU ARE AWESOME, AND I LOVE YOUR STUFF AS ALWAYS!

I know that you haven't been around this site since at least 2010, and that I myself have just started this in 2012, but somehow I found "Winter's Flowers." I followed your instructions and read "A Mask and a Song" first, but then I discovered "The Blossom." I have read "Martin the Warrior" and seen the cartoon, so everytime someone mentions Rose I just about burst into tears. When I noticed that your stories were all about Rose and Martin, I chose to check them out. I was hooked by the first chapter. I LOVE YOUR STORIES, EVERY ONE OF THEM! I have even read some of your Narnia stories. While your writing style differs from that of C.S. Lewis and Brian Jacques, it is still awesome. Like I said, I LOVE ALL YOUR STORIES, ESPECIALLY YOUR LITTLE "ROSE AND MARTIN" TRILOGY! If ever you happen to be in Southern Maryland, you'll have to pay me a call. I'd love to talk to you about Redwall (my friends find it hard to make me stop ;) and I'd like your advice. I'm writing my own Redwall book, and it takes place at about the same time as your stories, and it involves some of the same characters. I appreciate the way you keep your stories canon and in line with the Redwall books, and I'd consider it an honor to meet you one day. If you do decide to take me up on this, you can find me at Leonardtown Baptist Church on Sunday morning at 10:00 am, or there at 7:00 pm on Wednesday nights. Just walk up to an eighth grader girl and ask her if she knows a Redwall fanatic. She'll direct you to me.

I liked this. Rose's childhood was super cute, I enjoyed the story from her perspective, and I was more than pleasantly surprised to find that your OCs are NOT annoying. I usually cannot abide OCs, because they always turn out either too perfect, too unrealistic, or too in-the-way... But your OCs did not. YAY! D

You picked a nice place to end... haha, that makes readers go read A Mask and A Song just for the ending! ;D

I've read the whole fic, but this is definitely my favorite chapter.

However I did find a little mistake. When Rose and Martin were in their secret little spot, Rose mentioned: "You've become such a wonderful friend to me..." but later when Martin refers to her as a friend, she says: "Is that all I am to you?"

But the rest is good. ]

Wow. what an amazing way to start to actually introduce Martin! Wow. This story had gotted better and better!

so far, I really like this story! I loved all the Redwall books, and I love how you keep your writing somewhat similar to Jacques, though it's still all your own. Keep up the awesomeness!

I had dearly missed rose after her "death" in Martin the warrior, so i came to fanfiction. this was just what i was looking for. i have read your other martin and rose stories, and i am pleased to say they are possibly the best stuff on this site.

Very good chapter, but it was a little strange when Rowanoak and Pallum were able to repeat Martin's every word.
