Wow! This fic is phenomenal! I sure hope there are some more Grey's fics from you (this is my first fic of yours I'm reading and I see you authored 15). I really like how you were narrating from Derek's POV. Too often people write from Mer's POV and only point out her flaws. I like the fact that you've brought up eps 5.17/5.18 - some of my favorite MD scenes ever! I also love how you filled us in on what exactly happened after the elevator scene, and how Derek gave Meredith the ring right on the floor of their living room, like you said, where it all started. AWESOME fic, definitely one I will be rereading often!

Thanks for the look at our favorite SGH couple! After all thew angst we've been through with them, it's so-o-o-o-o-o good to be able to revel in their happiness. Thanks for sharing your vision with us.

BTW, there's a small edit you might want to make. Derek didn't write a dissertation; a dissertation is the book you write in order to earn a Ph.D. Derek went back to SGH that day to give his deposition in preparation for the lawsuit Jen's husband has filed against Derek and the hospital. He was there (presumably with a lawyer of his own as well as the hospital's lawyer) to answer questions from the opposing attorney.

I'm dying for any post 5.19 fics to get me through April and this was a fabulous one. Thanks for writing and sharing.
