This is a rewrite?

Could have fooled me. The first few paragraphs are ridiculously long run-on sentences that could have easily been broken up into smaller chunks. The third sentence in the first paragraph went on forever and became garbled by the end.

I am not going to continue. Sorry, but you need a little more polish to your writing and learn more about sentence structure and when to break up sentences before I can read this.

Even if its the old (not rewritten) version, it would help to be able to understand any following chapters.

I loved this story but once you get to the chapter that you haven't reposted it makes no sense whatsoever.

My expression so far was either

So this review will probably be a long one, considering I didn't review each individual chapter, and saved all my thoughts for the end.

I guess I will start off by saying that I loved the story! The plot was amazing and had so many twists and turns, and I loved the ending, it was beyond sweet. This story was the perfect mix of angst and romance, and this definitely made it into my top ten favourite ZoSan fics of all time.

And to think I almost didn't give it a chance. I saw the extreme length of the story, and was a little intimidated by it. Most fics I read are around the 100,000 word mark, not 300,000, but the plot intrigued me enough to want to give it a try anyway…I was also a little unsure of the story again after the first few chapters, I'm not going to lie, some of the incorrect english was a little hard to read through at points. But it improved drastically through out the story, and I have to give you props for that. I can't even begin to imagine writing anything in another language, other than maybe a few broken sentences that make sense to anyone…so for you to be able to write like you do in a second language is amazing. And I'm definitely glad I didn't let any minor grammar issues stop me from reading this story. It was totally worth it in the end.

I also like the OC characters. You don't usually get to see a group of OC characters like that in a fanfic, so it was a nice change. They were definitely interesting characters and would love to read more about them. You mentioned in earlier author notes about a potential manga, which I don't know if that ever happened, but I would love to read it if it has.

I also like how realistic everything was. From the realistic aftermath of the trauma they went through, to their depression and suicidal thoughts. I thought you covered the subject very well. And I also liked the small realistic details you added in there, like the whole 'forbidden love' between two men thing, and how it was a really concern of theirs that it wouldn't be accepted. In too many story I've read, the whole thing is dealt with in a completely unrealistic way…in fact in some yaoi stories it seems 99% of the characters are gay, and that just makes the whole thing completely unrealistic. I can't even stand to read stories like that. So I also thought you handled that detail great.

I also loved the twists near the end. This entire story I had it in my head that it was going to be Zoro struggling to pull Sanji out of a depression, and maybe even help him through withdrawal. And that finally near the end Zoro was going to finally help Sanji heal his mental scars so the could live happily ever after. So when I got to the chapter and learned about Zoro's past, and how he was the real target all along, and saw all the abuse he took, I was completely surprised! I hadn't seen it coming, and didn't expect the tables to turn and for Sanji to be the one that had to help Zoro through his mental pain in the end. Definitely and interesting twist.

And in the end I got my fluffy adorable ending. It might have seemed ooc to some, but I loved how sweet and gentle they were to each other. It definitely made my heart melt! And I also like the fact that Franky ended up with Robin in the end. I totally ship those two, maybe not as much as I ship Zoro and Sanji, but it's a close second. I'm also rather found of Nami and Luffy, which we didn't really get to see, but I swore I saw some hints of it in later chapters, so I'm going to take creative license as a reader and just pretend that they ended up together as well XD

Anyway, before I end up writing a whole novel here, I just want to say again how much I loved and enjoyed the story, and how I'm so glad that you have shared it with us all. And how I'm hoping you will write more amazing zosan fics in the future.

This was such a cute chapter! Sorry I haven't reviewed until now, but I got so addicted to this story that I couldn't seem to stop reading it for anything XD But after this chapter I have to take a moment to tell you how much I am loving this story. Such a good plot, a perfect mix of pain and angst as well as sweet, tender moments. And even though it might seem a little OOC of them, I can't help but love how sweet and tender they were towards each other. Even the ominous cliffhanger at the end can't ruin how good this chapter was, although it does leave me worried for the next chapter.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now, I just wanted to let you know how much I'm loving reading this amazing story of yours so far and how I can't wait to read on. Which I'm glad this story is already completed so I don't have to wait for updates, I think I would go crazy if I had to wait between chapters, haha. :D
