...Story did NOT age well. Some parts were honestly a bit uncomfortable to read and it a lot of ways the whole story almost comes across as mocking gay people... but I know that was likely not your intention and this story was written a long time ago and the way people think now compared to then has changed both quickly and vastly.

I'm only on chapter 17 but I get the feeling that Suzaku liked Lelouch from the beginning - it's not exactly romantic love, but... it's definitely 'something'.

Thank you for sticking through and finishing this brilliant work. I especially loved the ending- Lelouch is still straight and a crook, rich people get on with their lives, and Suzaku is left overall intact. My personal headcanon now will be that in later years Suzaku realized/figured out happened, decides it could have been worse and that he is better for the experience. He'd probably become one of those rich good-natured old men with laugh lines, bottomless wisdom, and a crap-tonne of fascinating insights and stories for his grandchildren.

And Lelouch... well, obviously he's going to increasingly spend his life trying to con women whilst ducking out of sight from an increasingly number of enraged females until finally his past (in the shape of his family) catches up with him. Some deep dark corner of his mind has this awareness locked away for now, as the mere suggestion is enough to give him night-terrors.

Y'know, it's kinda funny- though to be fair this is an old fanfic. Lelouch and Suzaku's blatant distaste in anything related to gay stuff is definitely unacceptable and homophobic in this day and age. You can tell this story aged like fine wine pft.

Wow this story is finally over. I'm torn between awe and relief by that fact, to be completely honest . It's really strange to realize that I've been following this story for almost a decade. In the time between updates, when I remembered this story existed, I honestly never thought it would end. I'm really glad that it did, it really was a wild, wild ride :') . Congrats!

Okay. I admit I found the ending disappointing. (Well, tbh I never really expected them to get together in this story but Lelouch should at least be taught a lesson!) But then I decided to check out your LJ and I guess I'm no longer as disappointed. (Still feeling sorry for Suzaku though.) And, agh, I thought you were serious about Schneizel. Should've known better by now.
