I always loved this kinda fanfic despite the tragedy behind it. Plus it is always my preference that Kakashi be the caretaker even if he may not have been the best sensei and protector (and yes Iruka may have been the better choice, but Kakashi is best to me). What confuses me is how he never finds out how terrible the abuse is when he himself is Naruto’s guard and given the job to stop the mobs harming him?

I don't know what I was expecting from this fic, but I'm really glad I read it. It took a very different take on what happened with the kyuubi attack, and while Minato is one of my favorite characters, and made minato out to be a horrible person. I love reading one-shots that are over 10k words because I think they have a more solid, fluid story and this one did not dissapoint my expectations!

Wow...I don't know what to say. But I will try. When I read the summary for this story. I didn't know quite what to expect. When I saw the length of the one shot. It didn't deter me. But I had gotten to it much to late in the evening to read it then. I had to be up early the next morning. So I needed to sleep. Still, this story intrigued me. So I fave it and would read it the next day.

Gut instinct was right on for this one. You wrote a fantastic story. I loved every moment of 's pov was brilliant. It clearly showed the suffering he was in. The lack of care and love from the village and council also showed why Naruto suffered. And then there was Kakashi, who suffered so much in his own life. As we came to find out later. Minato was surprising as a villain but was very effective. He managed to damage to children that he was responsible for. It was ironic that he did what he did to them especially Naruto. So Minato could gain recognition. And Jiraiya backing him in his foolishness and lying to Naruto was shocking. But again it went well with the the story.

I loved how the story. Explained how everyone had lived and died. And I loved that someone had the sense to finally obliterate Minato's face from the Leaf's hero mountain.

Seriously sad. I've seen Naruto closed off before and brought back or actually die, this was a great mix in that he never fully came back. I loved the fic though I had misty eyes for most of the story. :P Seriously, though I would've wished for Jiraiya to die more horribly but at least he died! :D Love your writing!

Although, dark, depressing and twisted, this touched me deeply... And I couldn't stop myself from crying. It was intenese and sad and heartbreaking... but also filled with beautiful words. Your writing skills are excellent, but I am hoping to find something less angsty among your work.

Great job with that but dammit that was sad as hell.
