I laughed so hard. I do agree that sexual desire is good in a marriage, but I'd definitely say that shared goals, honesty and open communication, and the desire to do/give/be the best for the other would all be just as important. There will definitely be days that the two of you will not want to have sex with the other. There will be days when you won't want to even see the other. There will be days when you're just so full of the other that you'll just need to have some time apart - but your marriage will be successful as long as you choose to get past all that, and work together, and return to each other. I'd actually say that younger Hermione had much better sense about marriage than she does now, for all that she's somewhat more aware of the sexual aspect of relationships now.

The endless tsundere of these two is beginning to grate, and this case I'm fully in Draco's court. Hermione changes her mind like a see-saw, and acts completely irrationally, especially given that in those times, arranged marriages rather than love marriages were the norm. She also won't hear Draco out! He keeps calling her my love, my dear, sweetheart, which he plainly does not do for anyone else, and she thinks he doesn't say that he loves her. Wow, does she ever learn to listen? I also think that Draco should just tell her hus feelings, but I understand getting angry at being made the recipient of Hermione's emotional whiplash and false accusations.

It's an interesting story and it's well-written in terms of prose (minor errors, easily ignored or missed), but the characterization of the two protagonists is not my cup of tea. I'll still try to finish it though. I hope these two get their heads out of their asses.

I just wanted to let you know how wonderful this fanfic is, it was truly a joy to read! Thank you for persevering and sharing such a beautiful story that had me smiling, fuming, chuckling, crying, and left my mouth hanging open in disbelief at all the intricate twists and turns throughout Draco and Hermione’s journey to find love and each other.
