I like Faramir's thoughts on Boromir's values.

What's even more rare is to meet someone who likes Boromir as much as I do, thus congratulations and more importantly, thank you.
This is the best oneshot I have had the pleasure to read in some time!
Your analysis of his characters appears to me to be astute and multi-dimensional, as well as that of his role in the book.
I whole-heartedly agree that he was doomed from the moment he became a likeable traitor. They tend to die quickly.
The way you related to him from the perspective of someone in our world made the idea truly sweet, if sad.
Now, the obligatory (if small) bit of criticism: In your final author's note, you wrote "he were a bad person". It should be "was", I believe.
Furthermore, I don't quite understand why you put "You were a true warrior, but you had great honor." To be precise, why the "but"?
Either way, a lovely idea and brilliantly executed.

I agree with your views on Boromir- in the book he carries on a bit more before trying to take the Ring, but he's still sorry when he snaps out of the Ring-induced madness. Quote: For a while he was as still as if his own curse had struck him down; then suddenly he wept. (end quote) If he wasn't repentant, would he have cried? Here's another quote: "What have I said?" he cried "what have I done?" (endquote) That's the sort of thing someone would say if they did something that went against their ideals impulsively, like a pacsifist killing someone in a fit of rage. His own betrayal comes as a shock to him.
