I adored this. Im still bitter how we had such great Roomies build up and it was just really a tease. While Im glad they ended up together it still felt like a bone just tossed to the fans to be happy about.

So, I don’t think I’ve really read anyone who’s been able to extend canon quite like you—like not just extend it, but enhance it. You have this great ability of having us learn more about the characters in so many ways in just a oneshot. That is amazing. It’s just hard to make TV someone else has written work on paper, but you do it so well.

I love this whole piece. I could comment on everything, so it’s difficult to pinpoint things. I love the thoughts that go through her head—about regretting that Ray had to suffer alone, the pigeons (which was brilliant and beautiful), the description of the old apartment, letting us know how he tastes, feels and smells, the “rib spreader” comment, the spider plant, the exquisite detail of the consummation, “lips you could take a nap on,” how she didn’t know what to do after coming to the hospital.

"Oh, Jesus. Fuck. Neela, sweetheart. Come here."

– I love this. I can hear it.

“...he just keeps looking at her with that expression on his face, the one that frightened her badly enough to move out of the apartment to begin with.”

– And this. I actually had to go back to YouTube to check out that look after reading this.

“She'd give him anything, in this moment, but she doesn't dare say that aloud.”

– And this. This says what was just so explicitly expressed on her face at the end of the episode.

The fact that he didn't want her to feel pity (that was particularly beautifully done and a scene that's needed).

The descriptions of the weather adding to the tension in the room.

Even the stickers on his used books.

You have a gift for subtle detail - weaving it through the story.

And of course, very true to character. I sincerely hope you write more, would love to read it.
