"I love this fic." would be an easy way to say what I had wanted to say here, but it would leave this review entirely lacking of the true impression I intended to convey.

I just finished re-watching the Due South series and afterward, went looking for fics. I have mixed feelings about finding this one early on... I've re-read it about 4 times (which is saying something for me) but I also quickly found that there was little else that came close to competing with it. After wondering just why that is for a while I have finally come up with the answer: Writing dialog for Ray, with his amusingly odd speech, while not being in itself a simple thing to do properly, can often be achieved by a good writer who's fan enough to pay attention to him, but writing the story itself and getting into Ray's head and thought processes with that same unique roll and constant movement is somewhat more difficult and often seems to slip away from writers. Not only do you never slip but you make it sound so natural that I was genuinely and excitedly impressed.

I also loved your other 3 Due South fics and was only sad to find that you'd only written a total of 4. At any rate, thank you so much for the awesome read.

You're writing and writing style makes me all kinds of happy. This was a very cute story.
