This is such a beautiful story! I just read Chapter 1 and I'm in love with it!

Really interesting, I like your use of politics and consequences. I'm curious to see what happens next. one point i wanted to raise was that please, please don't give Naruto a super awesome teacher! so many fanfics have him gaining an awesome teacher who teaches him all their jutsu. I figure that its more likely that he gains one here and there.

Thsi is a rather interesting Fanfic,I'm just curious as to what happens in the two years they are gone.

So here we are, now I have to wait for the next one as well! I found this last chapter to be a classical, but enjoyable tutorial-chapter (I may be a little biased since I quite like them). Not really much else to add, I guess...still I believe that if your update pace is going to be of several months maybe you should make the story progress faster. I enjoy slow-paces stories but they need frequent updates you know...and I know how difficult it is to keep such a rate, after all I'm as lazy as Shikamaru. So now I can only tell you, I really hope to see more soon. Ah, it's been quite a long time since I last reviewed a fic. Until then!

Alright, it seems that now that the stage is set the story is ready to unfold in all of its awesomeness! Unfortunately there is only one chapter left, that almost makes me want to cry. Oh well. One chapter left is better than none left, I suppose. Anyway, my previous review still stands; I really liked this chapter as well, especially since you've managed to develop so well a theme that's not so original in itself, at least among the fandom (the harsh reality of being a ninja) but which is rarely, if ever, confronted with a realistic yet not overly dramatic and angst-ridden point of view such as yours. I cannot express how much I appreciate your avoidance of angst and goody goody morale.

I found the way Naruto was able to spend six whole days reading a book and running around a bit unrealistic...a single, slim, adult book...it just doesn't really add up, maybe you should've elaborated a bit more on that, even though I admit it was quite a minor plot point. Other than that, excellent as usual...now onto the next chapter! I can't wait for Shikamaru's next appearance, I always thought he and Naruto would make a terrific force together. I just hope Naruto's special training isn't going to put him on an uber level, but I'm quite sure there's no risk of that happening, since as I already said, you obviously possess a wonderful literary awareness.

Well, I was originally going to wait until the end to review, but after reading this chapter I wanted to say that I highly appreciate the literary consciousness that emerges from your writing. It's something that's quite rare to find and that makes your story special among the mass of mediocre, normal and even good ones. The attention to detail, originality of plot and character development and humorous, enjoyable writing really make me crave for more. For example, I found the scene about the sleeping bear and fear-enhancing jutsu to be pure genius. I also find Naruto's liking to horror-like scenes to be funny and in character. I'm not yet fully convinced by your OCs but the old grandma sure seems to be an interesting, if maybe a bit overbearing figure. So enough of this now, I will post further impressions later.
