When I was reading the frist chapter, god, I felt the angst.. of each Gai and Lee.. It's so painful.. You're a genius with words.

I am stuck in an odd place in my mind- usually I am rooting for the characters in a story to get together, but here it is still wrong. You have done an excellent job instilling each sentence with true love and taboo tangled together in a tight knot. I am glad I read "Closer" first.

If you write more Naruto I'd love to read more of Kakashi, especially his friendship with Gai. Now that I've finished this series you /have/ given us fans a Lee version of "Research", lol thanks for that! But his friendship with Sakura still interests me.
At the end of chapter 5 my heart was beating so fast. Seriously.
It's too bad warnings are necessary at the beginning of each chapter. I understand it for other people, but myself I love a good surprise! And you always have those in spades. Bravo!
I am now a fan of this pairing, and may go off to read fics from other authors. But I feel in my heart I will always know you have given them their true back story. It just feels so right.

Hello, I just wanted to leave a review here, even though I read this story 2 years ago (and again 2 days ago, thats why I'm here). It is still one of my favourite fanfictions of all time, so I wanted to say something, even though this account seems rather inactive.
English is not my native language, so I can't add a lot to this point. I still can say that I liked your writing style, it seems quite matching to this fanfic. I really loved this story, it's a perfect mix between innocence, a very interesting relationship and the fight to get ones will to live back. I don't know what to add, but I really just wanted to say that I love this fanfic and that you're one of my favourite writers online. :
