Commenting several years too late but I just stumbled across this fic and I absolutely loved it! I'm a big fan of the movie and I love the cartoon, and you easily managed to capture the essence of both of them. Stanley's adorkableness, the Mask's zany cartooniness - your writing style is amazing and it's all just perfect. I also loved the way you had Stanley and the Mask interacting with each other and I'm glad things worked out with Skye in the end.

Now I think I'll go pull out the comics and give them another read!

That ending, with the Mask and Skye pinkie swearing, that was great!

Please either make a bunch of one-shots or something of this! I think that the Mask and Stanely really got to be there for one another!

Nice, the characters are perfect and even the Masks one liners and quips sound in character. Also like the darker feel to the original move and cartoon series, and even the nasty tricks he played on that gangster in the alley. Liked the idea that Stanley and the Mask start to merge together the more he wears the thing, that’s what I expected the Mask to do to when the wearer wears it for prolonged periods of time. And it looks like Stanley finally got the girl, great job.

Just to ask, is this based on the Mask of the movie or the Mask of the cartoon?
