So sad, but I'm glad you wrote this. Its a lovely addition to Another Brother.

This does fine explaining how (and why) the Boys/Men of the tribe KNOW about the rusted-and-trapped FireNation ship ... and perhaps why there are still traps just waiting for an energetic twelve-year-old AirBender to accidentally set them off.

Sad history lesson - and yet it brings the reality of war to the forefront without actually having the children of the tribe watch someone die in battle.

This is such a good drabble, and the part with the ship I totally except as canon, I could really see it being a coming of age test for the village! So good. I love Zuko Hakoda bonding moments :D

Finally, Zuko has the dad he deserves. Man, now I'm imagining Hakoda and Ursa swapping embarrassing childhood stories about Zuko over tea.

Great story and insight into Zuko and Hakoda's relationship. One of my favourite parts of Another Brother was the start with Zuko growing up as water tribe and I love seeing more of that.

Hakoda brings up a valid though incorrect point.

I think it would be great if you included this as a chapter and another chapter accounting Zuko's night in the ship and his thoughts in your "Another Brother" fanfic. It shoes Zuko and Hakoda bonding and I think it would and more meat to your other story.
