Beautifully written story, tying up their journeys and many of the issues never resolved between the two.

I particularly loved the various emotional discussions between them, that walked a perfect line of their usual personalities and dynamic combined with sincere emotional resonance and depth. And then that scene in the gorge with the various flashbacks? Outstanding.

I've read a lot of xenafic and was surprised that I'd never read this one before given it's superb quality. I'm so glad that I have now. Thank you so much for this work.

This was a wonderful story! I thought you did a fabulous job staying true to the characters and giving us a more satisfying ending than the writers.

I read this story years ago, and although I liked it back then, I never wrote a small comment on how good it is. In fact, I even forgot about it, until recently that I spent a few days ago rewatching the whole XWP series, and felt compelled to read some fanfics to satisfy my curiosity for additional Xena/Gabrielle moments that would've been awesome to have included in the series, for example. ANd as soon as I read the first paragraphs I remembered... and kept reading until I reached the end.
It is as gripping, exciting, thoughtful and riveting. Honestly, one of those few works of fanfiction worth reading. Thank you for allowing us to take a trip on its lines years after XWP concluded; thank you for bringing to life a plot, ideas, characters, things worth exploring and savoring. Kudos!

Freakin fantastic story! And the epic effort by both heroes as they stave off death to keep their promise to each other left me utterly spent, tear streaked and in awe. Thank you.

I would just like to say that this was possibly the best written story that I've read in a long time. You were able to capture the essence of the characters to paint a picture for us. It was like I was sitting in front of the tv watching it happen. Well done! :)

Good story! Little confusing at times, but great plot!

This was such a wonderful story! I am so happy that I read it. The relationship between Gabrielle and Xena was beautiful, they were very in character, and I love the detail with which you included so many different events from the original series. I really appreciated that you made the two of them work through Xena dragging Gabrielle on the horse, because I was always unsatisfied with the way that that was never dealt with in the actual series.
