I really like your Claire! It's not just 'Oh Quil my soulmate I love him', not that they aren't enjoyable but this is a nice bit of fresh air and a new character!

I'm so impressed you managed to make something Twilight-related even remotely credible. Actually you made it very credible indeed. Astute characterisation and lovely writing style.

I usually detest Twilight and have only ever found about three fanfics based on it that I think have both good ideas and good writing. I can now add this fic to that list. I loved the appearances of Nessie and Jacob and Claire's 'uncle', and I love Claire's relentlessly logical side and quotations of statistics. I think you handled the awkward conversation very, very well, and Claire's hoensty (that she doesn't love him, but he's her soul mate) is brilliant.

Also, the title? Full of win.

Ooh. I like it. A lot. It's very interesting. I like the way Claire is presented. She's not sickeningly sweet and sappy. She's got spunk. The story's good. I'd love to hear more of it.

You just feel for both Quil and Embry in this. And you flesh out Claire as a real person, even though we only see her as a two year old or whatever in the books. Hers is an especially interesting imprinting/relationship because, they aren't the same age. She's literally known Quil since she was born... you take that and explore it well.
