wonderful this story brought tears to my eyes. i would have to look up a bit more of the Forsaken lore to give a really good crit (trolls and sin'dorei are more my thing) but from what i know you got everything right. very well written and nicely thought out. i look forward to more from you. :)

I take it this was at the time one of your first fics for the category? You did a spectacular job with it, I must say. Really liked the feel of it, a lot of the Forsaken made me kind of uneasy, though I'd imagine they would at this point in the timeline. Loved the whole ritual thing you had Shuuna doing as well to wake up the souls of the deceased, very cool idea there.

The only thing that bothered me was the lack of closure to do with her brother; I'm worried about him now, wondering if he made it or not. D: Still, cute ending and a very good story ignoring that little loose end. Thank you for sharing it with us!

This was beautiful...wonderfully written. I loved the depth of emotion, the pathos, the dramatic tension. Muted but intense at the same time...you hit it just right. ) I loved the characterizations as well, not only of the main characters in the story, but also of the various supporting characters. I play Forsaken & Human characters, and imho, the setting and the situations were described pretty well.

I chuckled at the meat cart scenes, the grim humor was funny and yet tragic at the same time. I could totally imagine your story as an in-game cut scene, thanks to your vivid description, setting, characterization and originality.
