I've read this story so many times and my love of it has never wavered. I am terribly disappointed that another chapter hasn't been added. Nor another Assassin's Creed story for us to enjoy. Really hope that changes soon! We're begging you here!

Really awesome way to go about altair and malik! I liked that you saw it differently and did it with a different approach. I think you did a great job keeping them in character (though slightly different) it added a nice touch. Also, very refreshing that this didn't dive right into lemons or become lemony. The ending was great and left me wanting to know what would happen. Awesome job! I should've signed in to review this.

Very bittersweet, it got my heart-wrenching with each line and sour remarks they spat, as well as the very sweet brief moments that were exchanged between the two. So in character, I love it so much ;_;

haha. i have to agree with your reason on Altair's attitude. His mind-set's a bit like a kid; picking on the person that he likes.

I loved the two flashbacks of their past. Their interactions reflects their attitudes; Altair with the same cockiness, and Malik's calm, assessing mind.

I think this is a beautiful piece. As a professional writer, the interplay of a non-linear focus to a very liner theme is always refreshing in a story that has been told too many times (that being the relationship between Malik and Altair). The suspiring shifts from brotherly violence and competition to awkward sensual and even tender moments is breath-taking to say the least. THe only idem of concern is the title which seems to hallow and one-dimensional for a clearly leveled story. As a bias, I always enjoy a angry and disgruntle Altair compared to other tales that highlight his more sympathetic side. I believe that his hotheadedness is what makes him a favorite among fans of both the games and fanfiction. ITs what make him and Malik such good foils and thus such good companions/lover/whatever you want to label them. Hope to read more of your work in the near future.

Your story is sweet and sad at the same time. I really love these two but there are so many depressing stories out there in which their relationship is strained. I thought this story here goes in the same direction, but somehow you placed hope in it as well. You know, hope for their friendship. In your story it seems like they aren't ready yet to make amends (at least Malik) but there is this flicker of hope with Maliks last comment. So it made me feel happy but sad as well.
