Okay, first of all, WOW. As someone who ships Sasuke/Naruto and Naruto/Gaara, this was fucking PAINFUL. Also, I haven't actually read a fic on fanfiction. net in such a long time, but I ran out of narugaa fics to read on AO3 :')

Anyway, this was BEAUTIFUL, and so hauntingly sad (up until that very last bit). And yup, you fooled me into thinking Gaara was dying so good job there :')

I liked everything between them, the discovery, the hurt, the love, the sickness, the search, it is all perfect. The Sasuke part, and especially how Sakura makes Naruto realises that maybe it was not a proper love, and that indeed it was Gaara all along! 3

I like as well how we first see the present and then the past is explained, I enjoyed having a "preview" of what's happening and at the same time not understanding it yet! ; )

And your writing is really beautiful.

I like your way of story telling. While I do want to translate "the road less travelled by", 100K is a bit challenging, or say, quite a huge commitment giving my daily routine and role as a grad-student.

So, Can I start from "aftermath'?

In regards to Narugaa fiction, I tend to read stories with an AU setting, moreover, I thought I won't be attracted by stories seemingly with a Bad ending (title...i meant the title actually almost drove me away at first place.), but I ended up TRAPPED in , DEEP.

Touching and catchy, and the ending just make all the emotion burst worthwhile. I didn't see it coming, to be frank.

No, you're not fooling me. I guess that's pretty much clear; it's Naruto and Gaara's story, Naruto's searching for someone which isn't Sasuke, and that just leaves Gaara.

Beautiful story and very sad. I kind of knew Naruto was looking for Gaara because of the introduction. The flashbacks made me want to punch Naruto to make him see sense. I can understand he was hurting about Sasuke and thought he was in love with him, but his thoughtless words kind of irked me. Poor Gaara suffered in silence and never stopped caring for him, and it was heartbreaking to see such a strong, powerful shinobi reduced to what he is now. While I was still a bit irritated with Naruto, I was glad, nevertheless, that he realized the one he truly loved and never stopped looking for him.

There were a few spelling errors here and there, but not too much to distract from the story. Otherwise, great story.

I have to object - I think your story is brilliant. And hell yes, you did fool me into thinking that Gaara was dead that's not nice you know?
But I truly liked your story and the endig was sooo cute!
