Excellent. I like the idea of a pre-Nibelheim Sephiroth still lurking inside .. :)

I've always been convinced (and I'm sure you can guess why!) that Sephiroth lets Cloud beat him over and over again. First you have in the reactor, where Cloud tosses him into the mako effortlessly, then you have all of those times throughout the game where Sephiroth could do anything to the party and doesn't, instead choosing to reveal crucial info to them, then you have the end where he stands still and lets Cloud omnislash him, then you have in AC where even Square admitted Sephiroth was letting Cloud win...

I love your description of Sephiroth, too. It hits very close to home, him being a boy with the traits of all the remnants. I think a lot of authors are so keen on bishifying the general (and they're so young themselves) that they make him seem a lot older and more experienced than he really logically should be. We're talking about a guy who's college frat boy age with half the real world experience. Hehe.
