Reviews for Calling in a Marker
singmetothesun chapter 42 . 8/3/2018
I was just thinking that you’d left the Woodbury House thing wide open but then you covered it here! I was a little disappointed to not read that full encounter, but what we got given was still cute :D
Ahhh man and the ending with the Winchesters and the Bates/Landman family was so freaking adorable! It had me thinking of all the cute as heck encounters they could have once the Winchesters settle in Lebanon!

Sorry I haven’t been reviewing as I went along, I was either so engrossed and clicked straight on to the next chapter or I had to go work for a living. But I loved this story a lot, especially the bonding and comparisons with Scott and Dean, and your portrayal of Alan in all of your work is legit my absolute FAVOURITE! :D
singmetothesun chapter 1 . 7/31/2018
The sibling bond between Sarah and Dean is flipping adorable! And I can’t really be mad at Virg for being a little jealous, it’s actually quite cute. I also love how both Winchesters feel about Alan and have that instinct to protect him. The email from him with the wedding pictures was adorable!

In my own way I've done that, on another site. For some other folks, I still working on the back log of stories I've miss for many of reasons. Hope things are going well for you. I'm not at full power myself. But this is getting quite good.
GinnyStar chapter 20 . 9/22/2010
I couldn't sleep last night so I've sat up and read the first one and now this one. Never watched the show Supernatural, nor The Dr. Demento show, of course, my bed time stories were more like "Fractured Fairy Tales". I think you are beginning to understand me a tad better, hmm? Yes I've heard a few of them from some friends who are fans of the show. I have some thing like a 'feeling knowing something is up with close family and friends' so my other half like the unknown and things like that.
Leahelisabeth chapter 42 . 9/10/2010
So I had never seen anything to do with the Thunderbirds before, but being a huge Supernatural fan, this intrigued me. So I literally spent all night reading this one and payment in kind. I mean it, I went to bed at 8:30am. This was brilliant, I enjoyed it so much. And then today I watched the Thunderbirds movie and it brought much joy to my heart! Good work, I am going to have to read more of your Thunderbirds fics, you referenced some events in previous stories that sound quite intriguing ;)
CalamityJim chapter 1 . 6/6/2010
I really really really liked this story, so keep that in mind as you read the next bit.

You have too many characters. You're trying to split the focus equally amongst the characters from each show plus your OCs and its really hard to follow because there are so freaking many of them. Just do the math. You have the tracy sons plus wives (thats ten people right there), their kids (I never actually figured out how many kids there were DX) the dad, Sam, Dean, the Sheriff, her husband and son, and mom, and then those five people who were also stuck in the cave, PLUS the bad guy.

Don't get me wrong. They're all great characters and I love your OCs, but there are so many. As a reader its super hard to keep track of who is doing what, especially since you are trying to give everyone equal screen time.

A way to fix that is to limit your side plots. As much as the Gordon elope story was cute it didn't have much to do with the main plot. Same with the Elizabeth rough childbirth in the previous crossover. It would make more sense to take those and make them their own fics, even if they are just short oneshots. That way you limit the focus in this story to what is going on thats central to the story and you can go further into the happenings of the side plot.

I know this sounds like a big critique, but it isn't. Thats the only problem I had with the story so its more of a nitpick.

I really did love the story. Your characterization is fun. You do solid character interactions and your OCs are as vivid as the characters from the show. I really enjoyed reading this. XD

Huzzah! After a 6-hour addicted reading stretch, I've finished your story! About time, eh? :D

Ohh where to begin...First off, I love the OCs you introduced - especially Millie. Old gal's got a bunch a spunk in her, gotta love it :) And that moment at the end with Charlie saying "Sam"? Really, you should have put a fluff warning on this ;)

But I'd have to say overall, I loved the bit of jealousy Virgil had towards the beginning (jealousy can be just as fun as angst some times hehe), Gordon's nonstop worrying and freaking out (I just have this picture in my head of like chibi-gordon with his arms flailing, yelling "NU!" Don't ask... xD), but most of all when Scott and Dean were trapped in the cave together, worrying about their baby brothers...Putting my two favorite pairs of brothers together in the same worried, angsty setup? Priceless. I loved in chappie 35 when Scott was crying, struggling as hard as he could to get out...Broke my heart. Yet, as usual, loved it ;)

Fantastic job, CC! Again, your powers of brotherly/family torture never cease to astound me ;)

Have I not reviewed this story yet? I do apologise for the delay!

I've enjoyed both your Supernatural/Thunderbirds crossovers. I like the way you work your original characters up into believable and important players in the story, while keeping the focus on our familiar boys. The Bumper family were good fun, although not quite as much fun as Millie and family! It was good to see Jean and Millie there as a bridge between the Winchesters' present predicament and the Tracys relieving their past. You kept us guessing with various of the boys in peril, and I was particularly enthralled by Dean and Scott's danger and their discovery of the common ground between them. Oh, and I was cheering Johnny on when he threw that punch.

It's difficult to pull off a fast-moving story with so many characters to follow and complex twists and turns - you pulled it off with aplomb and I salute you for it! Thanks for posting and for the hours of reading pleasure.

I'm so sorry I didn't realize this was up yesterday! Gomenasai sumimasen! *Bows with her forehead touching the floor repeatedly* (Very, very sorry in Japanese, by the way.)

Aw! Baby Charlie said 'Sam.' Aw! So adorable! And the Winchester boys had a happy Christmas which wasn't spent on the road!

NO! It's over! (As is LMB's 'Spot of Brother') Now what story will I patiently wait for updates for? (Yes, I am aware that doesn't sound quite right when you speak it.)

This was certainly a wonderful ending for this great story. Christmas, the celebration of love. It was especially wonderful to see the brothers find peace and a home for Christmas. I loved the touch of baby Charlie saying "Sam" and how the younger Winchester carried him to the tree and let him point out ornaments. Really wonderful I hope that for you and your family this Christmas will truly be blessed. May the Lord, who became a baby on Christmas fill all your hearts with his peace. Hugs, Vonnie

Wow, you ended the story on a happy note. I'm duly impressed given how evil you were throughout the story. just kidding...not really.

Yay to hear that you have a couple of TB stories planned. I can hardly wait to see what torture you're planning for the Tracy family.

Anyway, this last update was great and full of fluff and humor. Now please hurry with one of the new stories.
Little Miss Bump chapter 42 . 12/14/2009
A terrific ending to what has been an equally terrific story, CC. I've loved every chapter. And please, no thanks needed, being your beta is WAY better than waiting until the next update like everyone else. *grins* At least this way I can persuade you to do things my way. Heh heh heh.

I liked seeing Scott sharing in an Eppes family moment, especially the visual of the group standing around as Jason lit the candle. Cuteness. :)

Brilliant work.

Can't wait for Christmas now!

jlc2007 chapter 42 . 12/14/2009
Okay, this was an awesome ending to an awesome story. So the Tracy's are spending the holiday in New York. Nice. The conversation between Don and Charlie concerning Kate's sex life was hilarious.

Oh good, Jason kept his leg. He was funny. Shoot, the entire Bumper family was funny. Hmm, what is Millie up to? So Sarah did go to the house and it was nice that Virgil and Dean were there for her. Aww, they sent Millie flowers. That's sweet. Ah, so that's what she was expecting. Good. They deserve a good Christmas off. Aww, Charlie said 'Sam!' How sweet. And I can picture the look on his face perfectly.

Aw, no sequel? Poo. But I have to agree, it was a very good ending that doesn't require it to be continued. Ohh, more stories coming? Sweet! I'll be on the lookout for them!
