this and its prequels are two of the best Ranma fan fictions I have ever read and I've read at least a hundred of them

I've read a couple of similar stories before, but overall this was fairly well done. I would imagine that being trapped as a woman with the ghosts of her dead friends on her conscious for the better part of a decade would leave Ranma more than a little vengeful. Outside of that, I'm not sure exactly what your aim was with the ending. Whether Ranma was inviting Ukyo to become a man by jumping in the drowned man spring, therefor allowing them to be together 'traditionally', or if he unlocked his curse and was challenging Ukyo for marriage, or if you wanted it to be left open to interpretation. Either way, it was an enjoyable read. Kudos.

Hum. I know this is intended as a dark, dramatic, character-change fic and all... but even so, the idea of Ranma going so far on the revenge-road to take things out on Herb's people-especially his kids-via the Jusenkyo feels a bit much to swallow (personally) in that department. I'm sure he'd be out for revenge, but it's ultimately kinda hard to really picture Ranma as being quite that capricious (or that poetic, actually) about it. In other words, I would expect him to just want to flat-out kill Herb-but extending it beyond him just feels rather awkward character-wise. (Not to mention leaving a quite unpleasant taste in the mouth-though I expect that part was probably intentional as a story choice.)

Anyway, other than that, though, structurally speaking the fic works quite well, and builds on itself nicely. Only suggestion I noticed there is using descriptions instead of written-out sound effects, e.g. for the knocking at the end.

Anyway, despite all the suggestions above, it was a very interesting read. Thanks very much for sharing it!

Even though it's 13 years old, it's still a good read. It's something i won't regret finding, and i look forward to the updates you mentioned.
