Hard to write but you would have never noticed. I thought you captured them brilliantly. Kudos to you for taking up the challenge of writing one of the lesser but intriguing supporting characters. I really enjoyed it.

I have actually read this story a few times, because I enjoyed it so much, and its sequel too. :) You capture Normal very well. He is perfectly in character, and so is Max. I love her story about her family as well. It has enough basis in truth to make it believable, and yet she isn't telling Normal everything. Echoing the comments I have seen on here already, I could easily see this, and the sequel "A Normal Night," as an episode of Dark Angel. :)

If you ever decide to write another fic with Normal, it would be very interesting to explore what he thinks after learning that Max and Alec are transgenics. I loved the way his attitude changed on the show, though we of course didn't see much of it.

Again, great work! I enjoy this everytime I read it. :)

I've been looking for a decent Normal fic so his was fun to read. And you do vulnerable!Max so well - the use of her small stature and comparisons with her usual tough attitude. Completely credible story.

THis story was soo cute and sweet! You hardly ever see stories where Normal is treated sympathetically, let alone as a caring and sensible human being!

You states that this story was really hard to write but you did it so well. I really thought that was great. you should write something else, possibly along the same lines, no one really writes much about normal and rarely do they ever show a side to him that is kind (we know it's there) You did a great job with this fic, staying really true to the characters as you expanded on them. Keep up the good work.

This was good. I thought it was realistically portrayed. both were in character and you got to explore Normal's character, something that is not very often done. And I didn't put this in my review of 'Inspiration', but could please, please out up your other stories. I went looking for them the other day and they weren't there. they were on my favourites list. I'd really love to be able to read them again. So please? you can email me, if you want . This is a good fic anyway, but please?

great. i never really thought of this before, but i really enjoyed this. normal is usually a mostly passive character and it was nice to see him in the spotlight.

EXCELLENT! Very, very believable. I could easily see this happening on the show, if the writers would just flesh out Normal a wee bit more, not continually caricaturize him. In the ep "I and I are a Camera", where he expressed sympathy for Herbal after his buddy died (and everybody did a double-take), I wanted to crow, "It's about time! Yeah, he's a Boss, so he's got to be a hard-ass sometimes, but he's still human!" And the story of half-truths that Max told Normal to explain her past worked very well as well; again, I'm surprised she hasn't used it on the show. So, keep up the good work!
