Hoo cuteness abound! Rushed or blunt, I don't think it would've affected this piece too much, since it is a oneshot. Hence, no need for little details (also gives readers room for interpretation of the piece). But this is a non-writer talking, so I could be wrong. Happy Valentine's to you auhor, and yes I agree with Valentine's being a day for everyone to share the love, not just the couples :)
