I reread a couple BSC books today and I always headcanon'ed that Kristy was gay. So I went looking for fanfic about it and found this one and it's absolutely perfect! I love Kristy not even considering it, but then once she did it made absolute sense. And I love how everyone around her already knew/suspected. Awesome, awesome job!

*giggles* I love Kristy's parents! And those last few lines are just awesome.

This chapter seems to go too fast (I would've loved to know more about their first date!), but I totally love the BSC-member's reactions.

I really like this. It really fits with Kristy's character... A lot of people, when realizing this sort of thing, will keep it all inside and refuse to say anything. But Kristy, she's always been one to seek answers, be forward and real.

"I want to like girls, like Mom and Mama, but they said it doesn't really matter what you want, you are who you are."

Omg I just love that. I remember "wanting" to like guys when I was young... yeah, it doesn't work that way. Glad their moms are teaching them these things!

Also, love Kristy's awkwardness when they first got the phone call. And Dawn saying she'd date a girl, awesome!

I *love* that you did this first chapter just like the books do! It felt so *familiar* to read the "recap" on who everyone is.

Haha that was actually better than I had expected it to be. It moved very fast though! If only it were that easy, you'd think more people would be out! It makes me giggle to think of Ann M Martin reading this and being all, "GASP! Homesexuality? Mentioning how much no one cared the Ramsey's were black was going far enough!" and fainting.

Also like the, "should have just stayed in the closet" line haha. :)

I liked the story, but I didn't like Kristy in this story. Sorry. I was a fan of the BSC books for a long time and had the whole collection. I didn't have a favorite BSC member. I would say you would have to kick Luce out of the story before Kristy loses her friends at the end of the story.
