This was beautiful. I never thought a drabble could make me cry, but this one almost did. Your characterization of Shikamaru was perfect and I am amazed at how you were able to set the mood in such a short piece. This is a truly great piece of writing.

Wonderfully written. Yes, it's been a while since Asuma-sensei died, but I still haven't gotten over that fact. A lot of fics had been written about it too, and I must say that this one is among the best.
