You must surely be aware of this, but you write brilliantly as Light and you write brilliantly full stop. This is such a realistic interpretation of the funeral scene. What I especially love is how you express Light's emotions when he's, er, disrespecting L's grave; the gore, though disturbing, is described very well (loved "birdlike splinters") and it emulates his hatred perfectly. You know you hate somebody when you want to rip apart their dead body.

And the last line... Don't get your hopes up just yet, Light. XD

Very powerful story. You've conveyed Light very well. He doesn't seem OOC to me at al :) Although, I don't think it was necessary to rate the fic M, probably Teen, though I did enjoy this. Keep up the great writing. :]
