Fantastic story! I admit that it took me a while to get used to Loki, but he did eventually hook me as he became the hero he did have within him. Now, the story wasn't perfect. The last few chapters did seem extremely rushed; I just don't see how Loki could go through so intense a brainwashing, yet barely have any aftereffects from the trauma. Hell, except for the single scene with Mesmero, his "Reflex" problem is only mentioned one or twice more, before a "death" that held little meaning. What kills me about the end is that, had he simply stayed downtried to recover more, Loki might have made it through the fight still intact.
What makes the end especially bitter is the entirety of what Loki had been able to achieve. With all that he has had to endure (abuse, abandonment, racial hatred, guilt, the loss of an arm, being turned into a Weapon), I kept wondering how Loki didn't become a new Magneto, because he would have been perfectly justified.
For now, all I can do is look forward to the sequel, because you are doing a fantastic job with the character. Peace!

I just began reading this. Loki is very negative isn't he? Heh. Seriously though, pretty good so far.

Pretty good fic. Only thing I wanted to see was either Forge making Loki a arm that could go switch to a cannon megaman style or a slow Loki/Storm pairing. Taboo-ships like that are always good for drama in fics.

okay...it's really freaking annoying how blaise and dismissive everyone is of his issues in recent chapters. i mean they act like he's a gary stu and everything wrong with him is just simple bad personal skills...it doesn't help that you keep swinging from passive agressive to badass with his character. Wth is with grace completely dismissing his nightmares like that? He just said he's tortured,forced to brutally witness his body commit acts against her and everyone else he likes and she just says get over and he's not the only one with problems...very few people in the Evo universe have issues like this. Next is the spider. Everyone is mad at him for containing an at the time threat against people and siding with magneto's orders...yet other people had a hand at stopping it and Professor X being so pissed was so OOC to the story that I thought you had switched him with mystic again. So now everyone is on the boat after treating him like shit for a week and the time leading up to that treating him like annoying trash, so when they finally do forgive him do they tell him? No, they sit around listening to him have nightmare and tormenting himself while thinking "Pft he'll get over it we only isolated him from his only other sourced of human contact."

I get that you want to avoid making a Gary Stu but damnit don't go overboard in making the character so full of angst that it becomes common place that everyone ignores it, and like i wrote in the beggining the way everyone reacts to his problems makes him seems like a gary stu. Out of all the current members of the crew he has the most issues and problems to deal with beyond the small scope the others deal with so don't make so much light of it.

Woah... he's breaking into a classroom, getting expelled from school, moving, and going to a new school, all in one chapter, of less than 10K? I must admit, it's going a wee bit fast. And the whole 'something happens on first day of school' bit is cliché.

I just want want you to know how much I love this story. I finished it when you posted the epilogue, but I only just realized that i forgot to leave a review. This has possibly been my favoite fanfiction story I've ever read. I feel that it sets a new bar for good oc are an awesome writer and I look forward to the sequel!

HE LIVES! I'm hopping up and down in my seat (figuratively, I'm in class) with pure jubilation. This story was amazing, especially so for an OC narrative, and I will be coming back for the sequel. I enjoyed this very fun adventure and I can't wait for the next installment. Peace!
