I've been rewatching season 1-6 of CSI NY which led me to read SMACKED fanfic and this is amazing!

I'm trying very hard to find words to describe this fic, but everything I come up with doesn't begin to do it justice! I have been utterly gripped from beginning to end and LOVE every single chapter.

This story is so well thought out and moves along at a perfect pace, never feeling like you are rushing us to the next scene, but never lingering too long either.

I love the version of Mac in this story (and thank you so much for putting the image of him in full Marine dress uniform in my head, what a fabulous parting gift!)

Keep writing, you have a serious talent for it, I would kill to be able to conjure up some of the phrases you have come up with in this story.

The only thing that really bothered me was not always knowing when the characters switched .. you may want to consider using the horizontal line breakers in the future.

I love that you write from their perspective, too. It's a lot easier to get into when written in first person. :)

I was browsing through the collection of Mac/Stella stories for ones that I hadn't read when I stumbled upon this one. I must admit, I don't usually read AU fictions because I figure, "Why mess with a good thing?" But wow! You did not mess with a good thing. This is, by far, my favorite AU fic I have read. Despite the AU-nature, I think you really captured Mac and Stella's personalities: Mac is fierce but controlled and Stella is a passionate spit-fire. I really enjoyed reading this; thanks for sharing!

this is with out a doubt the best csi fanfic ive read. Im just sorry that I didnt find it sooner. I read it all in one sitting if that tells you something about how much I loved it.

I'm so sad it's come to an end, but what a magnificent ending! This has been SO good! I've enjoyed it hugely, and now I'll have to be asking for your next story :D I've loved this. Such a great idea right fromt he start, and it's played out brilliantly. I just adore the characters in this and how you've written them. The setting is at a slight angle from the show, but they are all completely themselves. I love too how you've used all the characters and given each of them their turn to shine; Lindsay and Angell and Flack especially. Flask has been so great in this, as the best friend to Stella, and as the partner to Angell.

And then mac and Stella, wow. what to say? Fantastic! Awesome, brilliant, super! I've loved allt he adventures you've put them through here, and how they have come out the other end, changed, but together as equals. All the moments between them, and all the little Mac moments you have gifted us with. Including in this last chapter! Mac in his uniform...

i've loved your own characters too; Raphael and Gino of course are outstanding, and one heck of a twist with Gino, i too did not see that one coming, nice one! I'm sure I'll have lots more to say about this, but for now, well done! And please start the next one very soon :D Lily x

SQUE! THEYRE BACK TOGETHER! omg for the first half of that chap I was so scared you'd killed him, then I was scared he'd abandoned her forever and I was almost CRYING! And then she opened her apartment door and felt something wierd and I CHEERED OUT LOUD. My brother is currently giving me a wierd look. Lol. But I don't care. That was AMAZING! Seriously, that story is officially the best I've ever read. I'm so sad it's over. Everytime I saw the emails saying you'd updated I squealed out loud. Except for this time because I knew it was going to be the last chap and I didn't want it to be over lol. It's like a drug, and I won't get my fix anymore! :( But yeah I absolutely loved this story. I can honestly say I'm going to miss this story - but it ended on such a great note (and very open). All that was missing was Mac doing a Richard Gere from an Officer and a Gentleman and... LOL I'm kidding. It's missing nothing at all.
