If General Hammond actually made Neville a sergeant, rather than just issuing ID that had the rank on it, that could lead to the amusing situation of an airman being unable to give the dog orders...

I'm absolutely loving this series, btw. It's sweet and h/c-y without the standard overload of sickly-sweet glurge. Lovely.

Very compassionate writing. I am really surprised Felix is doing as well as he is.

My only problem with this tale is that I consider it very short. Elaboration of details is good, though, so a substantially longer plot time period should have been told in a substantially longer tale IMO.

I stumbled upon this 30 seconds after writing my earlier review of the prequel.

Once again, although the story is great, I must protest that horrible, horrible word "finis" :)

I just discovered this story, and its prequel, 'Lord Iblis's...,' and glad that I did. They're both really well written pieces, and I like the character study you've done on Gaeta.

I hope you and Rap541 consider doing other stories in this 'verse.

I liked your stories about Felix Gaeta being found and rescued by SG-1 and integrated into Stargate Comand and the USAF. It would be interesting to see the SGC make first contact with the fleeing Colonial Remnant Fleet whether combined with Rebel Cylons or not. Say sometime before the end of the final episode.
